Description

Moodle is one of the most widely used Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs) in educational institutions worldwide, including colleges, universities, and training organizations.

A key feature of Moodle is its backup system, which ensures that data and content can be securely saved and restored when necessary. Moodle uses a specialized file format known as MBZ (Moodle Backup Zip) to bundle all the content, activities, and settings of a Moodle course into a single file.

While MBZ files are a convenient way to back up and restore Moodle courses, they come with some serious limitations:

Incompatibility Between Moodle Versions: While MBZ files are designed for use with Moodle, backups created in one version of Moodle may not always be compatible with a different version

Unreadable Content: MBZ files are compressed files and the content can only be accessed, if it is restored in a Moodle installation.
